Goal Shooter
This is the member that scores goals in the team. The goal shooter also needs to work with the goal attacker to create good team plans and strategies. But, the goal shooter is only allowed in the opposing team's goal area and goal circle.
Goal Attack
The goal attacker is the companion of the goal shooter. He or she passes the ball to the goal shooter in order to make a goal for their team or perhaps shoot it. The goal attacker is only allowed in the center third, opposition's goal third and goal circle
Wing Attack
The wing attacker also passes the ball to the shooter. The wing attack is only allowed in 2 thirds of the court.
Centre
The center is an attacker and defender. The center starts the game. They stand in the middle of the netball court. But, the center is also allowed anywhere on the court except their and the opposing team's goal circle.
Wing Defence
The wing defence defends the goal third. They are only allowed in the center third, their goal third, but not the goal circle.
Goal Defence
The goal defence defends their goal area. They try to intercept goals from the opposing team. They are positioned in the center third, their goal third and goal circle.
Goal Keeper
The goal keeper keeps the goal shooter from getting the ball and taking a shot. They are allowed in their goal third and goal circle.
These netball positions are also grouped in two teams, the attacking team and the defensive team. The Goal shooter, Goal attacker, wing attacker and the center are the positions for the attacking team.
